My $.02
Welcome!
What brought me to this? I think I really just miss conversing with friends in the dorms. So now the whole internet has a chance to read my ramblings.
On with the show:
Nice of me to start off with a pun. Here I am, posting my thoughts, or 2 cents, as the cool people say. Also, this post is literally about my two cents, as in the two cents I had to pay for tax on a loaf of bread. The bread was $1, and apparently there's 2% tax on it. This was the only item of my order, so I was presented with a few options:
- A. Pay cash and walk around with 8 coins in my pocket, making it sound like I had just robbed a casino.
- B. Not get the bread and make the pasta less boring.
- C. Whip out the Visa.
And so I chose to make my second cheapest credit purchase ever. The first: a candy bar for $.33 when I worked at a grocery store. This transaction, by the way, got the cashier yelled at because the store paid $1.50 to Visa on every purchase.
I hope Fry's isn't mad at me.
